An earthquake was felt in many areas across the country, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
At the same time, reports emerged of an earthquake being felt in Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt.
According to the Geological Institute of Israel, the tremors felt in Israel had a magnitude of 2 to 2.3.
According to the Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.1 and occurred in the Mediterranean Sea, in the Karpathos region near Crete.
The quake occurred at a depth of 83 km below the sea surface.
Last March, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 was felt in the Eilat area.
It should be noted that the quake occurred 16 km southeast of Nuweiba and was felt in Israel.
